Lime & Soil Supplements

Your lawn loves neutral soil. So when lime is added, these compounds work to increase the soil's pH, making soil less acidic and more alkaline. Soil pH preferences vary between regions, but most grasses in the Northeast prefer soil pH between 5.8 and 7.2. Your lawn is vulnerable to acidic matter most of the year, so liming at least once a year is very common in the Northeast. Lime will help your lawn utilize fertilizer better. So your lawn can grow to its full potential, and not suffer from invasive weeds.

Types of Lime we stock:

Lime Pellet - Slow dissolving spreads easily, you need a lot for lawn use.

Lime Granular - Slower dissolving than powder, but faster than pellets. Great for gardens

Lime Powder - Quick dissolving but a little hard to spread evenly due to its light dusty nature. Will stick on clothes.

Lime Marker - Easy application. Used to mark athletic fields.
